Requirements specific to Korea[edit]
The requirements during the application process, especially for positions targeting foreigners, vary in how much the adhere to Korean norms and how much they adhere to Western norms.
Headshot[edit]
It is very common to require a recent headshot along with a resume when applying for a job. Many job ads will ask for it explicitly, but it never hurts to include it. There are many photo studios that perform or specialize in headshots for employment. They will typically perform photoshopping on the headshot for you, which is expected.
Criminal background check[edit]
A criminal background check is often required when applying for a position working with young children. This criminal background check will need to be notarized.
